Jasper comes in a wide variety of colors. Hematite is responsible for the red color in this specimen.

Brecciated jasper is typically red in color with spots or bands of white, yellow, brown, gray or red.

Jasper has been a popular stone from early on. Its uses are mainly ornamental, you can find Jasper in ancient vases but also in jewellery. 

This stone is natural and has been collected, cut and tumble polished by us in Western Australia.
